Meet Lucia

Lucia is a session singer and passionate music teacher specialising in pop/rock and jazz singing and music theory. She has been working for ten years in music, secondary and private schools teaching all ages both one-to-one and in small groups, from beginners to advanced level.

After gaining a Diploma in Jazz Singing and a Master’s Degree in Jazz Composition and Arrangement, Lucia moved to London to enhance her musical skills where she started working as a Teaching Assistant in Pop Performance workshops and Pop Choir at the University of West London. In order to deepen her teaching skills, Lucia accomplished a Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching Performance at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

In amongst all of her educational accomplishments, Lucia has been performing in a wide range of projects for more than fifteen years – from disco music band and vocal ensembles to jazz duos and she even managed to tour Europe opening Kurt Elling’s concert!!

Lucia published the album ‘Rise’ with the original rock band BlackNuda and Moresche e altre invenzioni with Burnogualà Large Vocal Ensemble. As a songwriter, she’s collaborated with the producer Steve Lyon (The Cure, Depeche Mode), composing arrangements for jazz/pop ensembles and soundtracks.
Lucia is also a certified member of Aotos (Association of Teachers of Singing), Ism (Incorporated Society of Musicians) and London Music Tutors.

We know, we know… pretty impressive right?

Lucia’s Ethos is based on three core values: trust, creativity and joy. The lesson takes place in a safe environment, providing a creative and empowering experience tailored on the student’s needs. Breathing exercises will assist in relaxing both body and mind, whilst specific warm ups will improve the vocal technique. Lesson after lesson you will explore the creative side of the singing act along with building a rich repertoire.

Lucia will:

  • Build your confidence
  • Develop your creativity and musicianship
  • Prepare you for Grade exams (should you wish to do grades)
